Linux/BSD

The only operating system I'm using (and maybe *BSD).

My first installation was with the v2.4 Kernel.
... plus the v2.2 on my own fli4l (ISDN) router setup;
which was an old AT PC system.. :*-)

This is Jocienne, my own Tux. :-D

Distributions

In the Linux world, a distribution is a collection of user-space packages built around a common upstream kernel ().

Termux Linux

The Termux Linux is the best choice for an Android smartphone/tablet (which is also Linux based ;-) ... some features:

The scripting feature mentioned above also allows access to various smartphone features and the available hardware!

BSD

Unlike Linux distributions, each BSD project develops its own complete operating system, meaning the kernel and the essential system tools are built and versioned as one cohesive unit.

The various BSDs share a common ancestry dating back to the CSRG (Computer Systems Research Group) at Berkeley. While they originated from the same 4.4BSD-Lite source code in the early 1990s, they have since evolved into independent projects with diverging kernels and distinct development philosophies.
